ABC Animal Alphabet
For this project, I began by sketching out different ideas for a children's alphabet that incorporated animal silhouettes made out of the letterforms. I explored various animals, celebrities, and emotions in shapes and letter combinations until I settled on a set of designs that I worked well together.
Once I had a solid idea of what I wanted to create, I moved on to the digital stage. Using Procreate, I began to illustrate the animal silhouettes, carefully manipulating the letterforms to create each shape. I experimented with different color schemes and backgrounds until I found the perfect combination to bring the designs to life. I made sure to create each animal silhouette with a high level of detail, ensuring that each one was recognizable and engaging for young children.
Once I had finished illustrating the animal silhouettes, I moved on to Adobe Illustrator to work on the typography. I used the classic Times New Roman font and carefully manipulated the letterforms to ensure they worked harmoniously with the animal silhouettes. I paid close attention to the spacing and arrangement of the letters to ensure that they were easily readable and visually appealing.
Throughout the process, I continued to refine and adjust the designs until I was completely satisfied with the final result. The combination of traditional typography with playful animal silhouettes created a unique and engaging children's alphabet that was both educational and fun. Overall, I am very happy with the final product and the process that led me there.
